​Cosmic harmony is the premise that everything in the universe is part of a single, united whole and is in some way interconnected, so therefore we can say that harmony creates unity.

Unity is the cohesiveness created by different elements working together to create an orderly and balanced whole, and by individual elements relating to each other to create a sense of harmony and oneness.

In traditional Chinese cosmology there are five elements. These elements represent the fundamental aspects of the universe – wood, fire, earth, metal, and water. They interact with each other in a continuous cycle of creation, achieving unity through the harmonious balance and flow of these elements. 

Each element creates the next in a  cycle: 
     Wood creates fire to burn  ->     Fire produces earth  ->     Earth generates metal  ->
                                           Metal generates water  ->     Water creates wood...

Their connections lead to a sense of unity, highlighting the interdependence and interconnectedness of all things and the constant transformation and renewal of the universe.
